🔒 Alphagate Extension

Privacy Policy

📋 Summary

We respect your privacy. The Alphagate Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your browsing activity, personal information, and usage patterns remain completely private.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Alphagate Browser Extension ("Extension", "we", "us", or "our") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Data Collection

2.1 No Data Collection

The Alphagate Extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:

2.2 Local Storage Only

The Extension may use your browser's local storage to save user preferences and settings. This data remains exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

3. How the Extension Works

The Alphagate Extension operates entirely within your browser and communicates only with the Alphagate platform when you explicitly choose to interact with it. All functionality is user-initiated and under your control.

4. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any data.

5. Permissions Explained

We understand that browser permissions can be concerning. We want to be completely transparent about why the Alphagate Extension requests specific permissions and how they are used. All permissions are used exclusively for functionality purposes and never for data collection or tracking.

5.1 Required Permissions

🔹 "tabs" Permission

Why we need it: This permission allows the Extension to detect when you're on supported trading platforms (like GMGN, Axiom, BullX, Photon, Padre) or Twitter/X. This is necessary to inject our interface elements and provide the integrated experience.

What we do NOT do: We do not read your browsing history, monitor other tabs, or track which websites you visit outside of our supported platforms. We only check the current tab URL to determine if you're on a supported site.

🔹 "storage" Permission

Why we need it: This permission allows the Extension to save your preferences and settings locally on your device. Examples include your preferred display settings, notification preferences, and UI customizations.

What we do NOT do: We do not sync data to external servers, track your usage, or store any personal information. All data remains exclusively on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

🔹 "sidePanel" Permission

Why we need it: This permission enables the Extension to display a side panel with Alphagate features when you're browsing Twitter/X or trading platforms. This provides quick access to project information and analytics without leaving your current page.

What we do NOT do: The side panel only displays information from Alphagate's platform. It does not access or display your private data, browsing history, or personal information.

5.2 Host Permissions

The Extension requests access to specific websites where it provides functionality. Below is the complete list of domains and why each permission is needed:

🔹 Social Media Platforms

🔹 Alphagate Platform

🔹 Trading Platforms

The Extension provides contract information and project data directly on these trading platforms:

Important: These permissions allow the Extension to only interact with pages on these specific domains. We cannot access other websites, read your emails, browse your bookmarks, or view content on unrelated sites. The Extension only activates when you're on one of these supported platforms.

What we do on these platforms: We inject Alphagate interface elements (buttons, panels, overlays) that display publicly available contract and project data. We do not read your trading history, portfolio data, or any private information from these platforms.

5.3 Permission Changes

If we ever request new permissions or modify existing ones, it will be because we are adding new features or improving existing functionality. We will NEVER use permissions to start collecting data - that would contradict our core privacy commitment stated in this policy.

When permission changes occur, Chrome/Edge will prompt you to approve them. You can review what has changed and decide whether to accept. The Extension will continue to function without data collection regardless of which features you choose to use.

5.4 Revoking Permissions

You can revoke any Extension permissions at any time through your browser's extension settings. If you revoke certain permissions, some features may not work, but your privacy remains protected either way.

6. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store any user data, there is no data that could be compromised. Your privacy is protected by design.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes that affect how we handle user data (which would require us to start collecting data), we will notify users through the Extension. However, we want to be clear: our commitment to not collecting data is fundamental to this Extension and any future changes will maintain this core principle.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete. You maintain complete control over any locally stored preferences by managing your browser's extension settings.

9. Compliance

This Privacy Policy complies with:

Since we collect no personal data, there are no privacy risks to users.
